My review to the GM of SOXDN:
if you run a private server, you must have the full patience to face the problem. must maintain calm at all times. if there's an issue with the MOD simply remove the said items to the directory. and it won't happen again. if you're the GM be the toughest, let the problem pass through from left to right. and those problems will be solved if you remain patient, calm, and understanding to the players.

I have no idea how this private server got as popular as it did, because in my opinion it is one of the worst servers on this blog list. For those who think this is tl;dr, don't bother wasting your time and money with soxdn, there are plenty of better servers on this list to choose from.
ReplyDeleteI'm not from Indonesia or Thailand, I'm from the western side of the world, but I have to say, I do know a dead server when I see one. Of all the private servers of different games that I've played on that closed down, they have all had similar childish GM's like the one on SOXDN, who started a server in order to make a little side cash, and when the server got too big, had no idea how to fix the problems that arose when a server built on buggy files is populated by a large number of people.
A server should have access to people who are able to fix issues within the game as well as the database itself, not repeatedly blame it on a certain group of individuals who just happen to exploit issues that they themselves clearly cannot fix. At the end of the day all anyone can say really is, you can go ahead and invest your time and money on this server, but it's in your best interest not to as this server is most certainly on death's door, with or without the GM's consent. You're better off looking for another Dragon Nest server with mature GM's and proper coders.
And just to let you know guys, before making this post I gave this server ample opportunities to redeem itself, and even donated a lot myself, and the only form of appreciation, and respect that I got out of all of this, was a buggy server, with a GM who is simply too ignorant and prideful to fix or at least find people who CAN fix the server out of respect for players who DO donate and keep this server alive.
